Volunteer Opportunities

Social Media

volunteer opportunity use social media

Do you enjoy fiddling with your phone and computer on social media sites?  Your spouse or parents (or boss) might not get so upset with you if you are doing it for a good cause. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other platforms are a great way make people aware of who we are and what we do.  YOU can help us spread the word!

Public Speakers

public speaking groups volunteer

Speaking to a room full of people?  Intimidating for some, natural to others.  We occasionally get requests  to speak from organizations like the Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions Club.  They are interested in hearing about  local charitable organizations. If they like what they hear, they may offer some type of support. If nothing else, its a great way to spread the word.

Leaders

charity leaders volunteers organizers

We are always on the lookout for people who can manage other volunteers, schedules, programs and events. Just let us know what you enjoy doing and we will find a spot you can fill.... or create a spot tailored to your skills.

Grant Writers

write grants charity raise funds

Have you ever written a grant?  Or do you know someone that has and would be willing to work with you? This is a great way to put your expository writing skills to work. Not the easiest thing to do successfully, but when done properly the results can be fantastic.

Door-to-Door

volunteer solicit donations businesses business sponsor support local stores

Are you good at making cold calls?  Maybe door-to-door solicitation of our local businesses could be your thing.  We can always use more business support.  Owners are more responsive to face-to-face presentations than they are to emails and phone calls.  The Buns Care can provide back up paperwork explaining the charity and its mission.

Event Help

help organize events fundraisers volunteer

Pictured above are some of the 18 volunteers responsible for the huge success of our 2018 Benefit Bowling Blast.  Each person had an assigned function and carried it out with enthusiasm. Even had some fun!
